Our number one priority is making sure that the families, businesses, and visitors of Iowa, along with the fire fighters that protect them, remain safe.
Our association works with elected officials and community stakeholders across the state to pass legislation that improves safety and provides our fire firefighters with the tools they need to keep all Iowans safe.

Protecting Iowa
The Iowa Professional Fire Fighters Association (IPFF) is dedicated to advancing the interests, welfare, and professionalism of firefighters across Iowa. Its mission encompasses advocating for firefighters in the workplace by promoting the safest possible working conditions and ensuring fair compensation and benefits.
The IPFF places a strong emphasis on fostering camaraderie and unity among firefighters, believing that a unified voice is more effective in lobbying for legislative changes that give our firefighters the tools they need to keep us safe. Our association is also committed to public education on fire safety and supports various initiatives throughout the communities we serve.
